Privacy policy

Last updated: March 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Becoming ("Becoming," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the Becoming mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, information created through your use of the Service, and certain technical information collected automatically.

2. Information you provide

This may include contact information such as your email address if you reach out for support, information you provide during onboarding, affirmations or other content you create in the app, reminder preferences, feedback, and subscription-related information provided through app stores or payment providers.

3. Information collected automatically

We may automatically collect device and technical data such as device type, operating system, app version, language, time zone, identifiers permitted by the platform, usage data, engagement events, diagnostics, crash reports, performance information, notification settings, and app configuration data needed to deliver reminders and maintain functionality.

4. Information stored locally on your device

Some preferences, cached content, affirmations, and progress data may be stored locally on your device so the Service can work more efficiently and provide a more consistent experience.

5. How we use information

We use information to provide, maintain, and improve the Service; personalize your experience; deliver reminders and app features; process purchases and subscriptions; respond to support requests; communicate updates; troubleshoot issues; protect the Service; and comply with legal obligations.

6. Legal bases for processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on one or more of the following: performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, and compliance with legal obligations.

7. Notifications and permissions

If you enable notifications, we may send reminders or service messages related to your activity in the app. Device permissions, such as notification permissions, can be managed at any time through your device settings.

8. Purchases and subscriptions

If the Service offers paid subscriptions or purchases, payment processing is handled by Apple, Google, Stripe, Superwall, or other authorized providers. We do not store full payment card numbers. Those providers process payment information under their own terms and privacy policies.

9. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in limited circumstances, including with vendors and service providers that help us operate, host, analyze, support, and secure the Service; payment processors and app store platforms; legal or regulatory authorities when required by law; and a successor or acquiring entity in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, bankruptcy, or sale of assets.

10. Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain accounts or subscriptions, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the Service. When appropriate, we may retain aggregated or de-identified data that no longer identifies you.

11. Your rights and choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent for certain processing. You may also manage app settings and device permissions directly from your device. To exercise privacy rights, contact us at support@joinbecoming.app.

12. International transfers

Your information may be processed or stored in countries other than your own. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border data transfers.

13. Data security

We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

14. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required by law in the relevant jurisdiction. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

15. Third-party services

The Service may contain links to or integrations with third-party services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy practices separately.

16. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Service, by email, or by other appropriate means. Continued use of the Service after the updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you accept the revised policy.
